The South African skaters performed well and many South African records were broken. To the delight of the spectators,Hammanskraal skater, Tshepo Modikwe surprised everybody by beating the Italian team skaters to take medals in nearly every race he entered. Tshepo received a trophy as the over all best South African skater for 2009.
2010 South Africa Speed Roller Skating Championship.
The championship can only be described as AWESOME! This event was the biggest and best ever held in South Africa.
The National Lotteries Distribution Trust Fund (NLDTF) made this event possible with the grant to Roller Sport South Africa and skating will never be the same again. The championship lifted the sport to a new level.....

POWER SLIDE HAS SENT A HUGE AMOUNT OF SKATING EQUIPMENT TO US. THE GIFT HAS ARRIVED JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS! THE BOOTS, WHEELS, SHOES AND OTHER THINGS ARE GOING TO MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THE STANDARD OF SKATING AND WE WILL HOPEFULLY SEE THIS IN THE RESULTS AT THE 2010 SA OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP IN MARCH.

WE WERE DESPERATE FOR NEW WHEELS BUT DUE TO THE LACK OF FUNDS WE COULD NOT REPLACE THE USED WHEELS, NOW WITH NEARLY 200 SETS OF WHEELS THE TRAINING WILL BE FASTER AND BETTER FOR ALL SKATERS.
