Northern Gauteng Provincial championship Road 2012
Some good racing at the Northern Gauteng Provincial championship!
The skaters skated some good times and the officiating was great. 34 Races, including 10km, 5km and various 3km's in 4 hours!!!! Well done Niki and team! Good training for the SA Open 2012.
MANY SA records were broken today and if this is an indication of what is to come the SA Open is going to be fantastic. NG will select their team for the championship soon. It is sad that some good skaters will not make the team but it shows the standard of skating is improving fast. Well done to all the skaters and thanks to the officials, coaches and managers for your hard work. By RSSA

Info
It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing of Mr. Dion Adams. Mr. Adams passed away on the 11th November 2011.
Mr. Adams worked as a volunteer in the federation since 1978. He started as a parent watching Joanne and Mark skating and soon got involved in the administration of the sport. His devotion to roller skating helped us to be where we are today.
Oom Dion was a dedicated coach of Centurion Club, a very good administrator on the executive committee of the Federation and a kind friend to everybody involved in the sport.
Our sincere condolences to Mrs. Adams, Joanne, Mark and the rest of the family.
We have fond memories of the many years oom Dion was active in skating, we will always remember him. R.I.P
