ROLLER SPORT SOUTH AFRICA PRESIDENTS REPORT July 2009 – July 2010
It is a pleasure to report on a very exciting year. The past year has been one of the most successful years in the history of our federation. 2010 has been a sporting celebration in South Africa and I want to congratulate the organizing committee of the Football World Cup with the wonderful event they staged. It made us all proud to be associated with sport in SA.
I start my report with the 2010 South African Open championship in March, this competition put our sport in a new league. It took many months of very hard work, long hours and total commitment but the success of the competition surpassed all expectations. Funding from the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund (NLDTF) made it possible to host the event.
